Well, we, as a family, have decided that we want to go Disney in 2011. We are waiting until then so Brynlee will be old enough to enjoy. So until then, we are making it a family project to save as much money as possible. We want this to be a total cash trip…and nothing else. So we are doing different things in order to save money for this.
The first thing we have is a money jar. We are starting for $0 so all that we can get, helps. The money jar counts for you so we have $1.63 in change. I know that is really sad but I am sure we can do this. The boys are searching for change all the time to put in the jar. There are other ways we plan on saving money.
The next thing I have been using:
http://swagbucks.com/refer/CrazySasEGrl
Swag Bucks are the web's premier digital dollar. Accumulate at your own pace and redeem them for exclusive swagbucks.com prizes. When you refer a friend and they sign up with the link you send them, you are awarded matching Swag Bucks (within 48 hours) only for the Bucks they win while searching (up to a total of 100).
I have been getting the $5 Amazon gift card with the 45 swagbucks, since that seems to be the best deal. Once your $5 is ready, you import the code into your Amazon account and it keeps track of how much money you have in gift cards. They don’t expire so you can save them over and over until there is something you want or need. I know of someone who did this for the past 6 months or so, and her kids are getting a totally free Christmas. She had about $700 in her Amazon account to use. That is definitely a way to save money….
….So stay tuned for other ways that we plan to save money….
